Using Video for Good

Picture1.png

Every now and again, a project comes up that transcends art and speaks to a greater cause. I recently have been lucky enough to be part of that while working with Safe Harbor. Due to the pandemic, Safe Harbor (Safe Harbor Shelter) in Richmond, VA reached out to me to make a video as a centerpiece to their 20th anniversary fundraising event. With the entire event being virtual, this wasn’t just a tacked on video, this would be the centerpiece.

The project had a tight deadline, but I wanted to make sure I told the story of safe harbor in compelling and zippy way that would open up people’s hearts (And wallets for fundraising), so I utilized a series of interviews, stock footage, and fun animation (Called parallax effect) to make a video hit as close to an emotional core as I could.

It has been one of the more rewarding projects I have had in recent time, and am so honored to have been entrusted to make a video complete.

Check it out below, and make sure to check out Safe Harbor!
